EMIGRANTS FOR AUSTRALIA.
ENGLISH CURIOSITY. (Times-Sydney Bun Special Cable.} LONDON, January 12. The steamer Benalla will sail with 200 emigrants for Victoria on February 26, and the Port Macquarie with 600 on March 2. The Federal officers are being inundated with requests from schools for Australian pamphlets, lecturers, and lantern elides. An arrangement has been made with the British Vice-Consul at Turin, Italy, to act .as an immigration agent for New South Wales. There are good prospects of obtaining irrigationists from Lombardy. The French Government is being asked to allow New South. Wales agents to make a local campaign.
