The executive of the South Canterbury Farmers' Union on Saturday discaseed the question of the tariff on wheat and flp"ir from Aiistcalia. The opinion -was expressed that it would not be a bad thing if Australian wheat -were prohibited from entering the Dominion unless local price exceeded 4/ or 4/€ a bushel. The matter waa left in the hands of the chairman, in conjunction -with.!':others interested to attend to, and to take whatever action thought desirable. '" 1
