Some question of its legality has been raised. The Association of Chambers of Commerce, in a letter, urges" the. Premier (Mr H. Asquith) to institute" a judicial inquiry into the working, and effects of the Trade Disputes Act. The request emphasises the prevailing unrest and the violence and intimidation accompanying the recent strike.
