The middle-aped woman who died suddenly yesterday, after being taken ill in a street near Parliamentary Buildings, has been identified as Mrs Myra Forbes, wife of Henry Forbes, of Woodlands, Southland. Slie had been staying with a friend at Tawa Flat, and it was at first thought she was Mrs Reynolds, of that place. A LONELY REATH. DCNEDIX, Thursday. An old resident of Arrowtown. Michael Toverv, was found dead in his house last evening. lie was last seen alive on Saturday evening, when he complained to Dr Thomson of pain in the chest, lie was unmarried, and had no relatives in the Dominion. At the inquest n verdict was returned ill accordance with the rmdical testimony that deceased died from fatty degeneration of the heart. THE LAWS MEMORY. WELLINGTON, Thursday. The police arrested a Chinaman named Shoo Shing to-day on a charge of bavins committed a serious offence upon a young girl at Wairoa. Hawke's Bay. in November. 1052. The accused was at" one time a shopkeeper in Wairoa, and has been wanted by the police for over a year.
