E.ESOH"TIONS TO BE AMENDED. '•'" (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A special meeting of the Wellington branch of the Post and Telegraph Officers' Association decided to recommend that the wording of the resolution complained of by the Commissioners should be amended so as to remove any suggestion of unfair differentiation against the Post and Telegraph Sen-ice. and that the Commissioners be again respectfully approached with a view to discussion of the whole of the resolutions passed at the conference. WELLINGTON "RESOLUTIONS. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. At a special meeting of the Wellington branch of the New Zealand I'ost and Telegraph Officers' Association, held in the Oddfellows' Hall this evening, attended by about 15(1 members, the following resolution was carried after an interesting discussion:—"That this meeting of the Wellington branch of the association regrets the deadlock that has arisen between its representatives and the Public Service Commissioners. It is of the opinion that the wording of the resolution complained of should be amended, so as to remove any suggestion of unfair differentiation by the commissioners against the post, and telegraph j service, as compared with other Government Departments, and this having beeu done, requests the. executive of flic association respectfully to approach the commissioners, with -.i view to the discussion of the whole of the. resolutions p.tssed by the conference." The following resolution was also I carried: —"That this meeting of the Wellington branch of the association expresses its confidence in the members of the late conference.'' CONCILIATORY MEANS SUGGESTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TIMARI". Friday. At a meeting of the Timarti branch of the Post and Telegraph Officers' Association, the following motion was carried in reff-reni-p to the deadlock which has occurred:—"That this branch, while approving of tbe motion, regrets the action cf the commissioner.-, in demanding its withdrawal, but recommends that the executive of the association use their best endeavours lo place the 'findings oi" i the conference before the commissioners, and to use every conciliatory means possible, even if it means the withdrawal of the resolution."' DUNEDIN RESOHTIONS. (By Telegraph.- Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Friday. A representative meeting of the Dunedin branch of the Post and Telegraph Officers" Association was held to-night, when the following resolution was passed: "That the commissioners, having announced that the criticism of the classification list is regarded hy them as an impeachment, and that such an impeachment hacked up by facts would not be admissible, this branch has no option but to support the action of the conference, which was called for the express purpose of dismissing the list."
