i i _ The annual musical and elocutionary festival of the Auckland Competition's Society (Ineorp.) opens at the Town Hall on Monday evening next, and from the large number of entries received from all parts of the Dominion, and also from Australia, the executive anticipate a very successful festival. Many of the visiting competitors are now in town, and the adjudicators. Messrs. ('. N. Baeyertz and Ernest Em-p-on. are due to arrive on Sunday morning.
