INQUEST AT WIII.I.IN'iITON j (By Telegraph -Pros- Association.! | WELLINGTON, this day. I An inquest was opened to-lay on the' Vriy of a child found under a house at I Eastbourne a few days ago. Mrs. Myall, of Cliristcburch, said her house was licensed a_- a home for children on January 16th. She received' into her home a female child nb"tit five months old, named Thelma May Davis. | The child was taken away by i:- mother "ii September 30th. Witness visited the morcrue last week, and identified certain articles of clothing -lie had put on the child. In witne—' opinion the child j was a half-caste Chinese. Witness could not identify the body as rha: of Thelma May Davis, although sic- was ~f! opinion it was. Another witness gave evidence as to tbe finding of the body under a cottage at Ronn Bay. The inqu-s- was adjourned.
