MISTAKEN IDENTITY.
<Ny Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. Mr Kohertsnn (member for Otaki) stated in the House this afternoon that he wished to withdraw an allegation lie made that Colonel Heard (Aetinjr-Com-mandant of the Defence Forces) had jrivpn. orders to the special police in his presence. He found that lie had made a mistake between Colonel Heard and another officer of the defence force, whose name he did not propose to mention. He wished to apologise to Colonel Heard for having used his name in connection with the matter.
