VICTORIA BEATEN BY 23 POINTS TO NIL. VICTORIA, 8.C., November 20. Tlie New Zealand footballers defeated Victoria by 23 point- to 0 in the first game in the British Columbia series. The Canadians played a defensive game throughout. The teams play again nn Saturday. The Victorians played splendid football, but hesitation in bricking up one another lost them chances of piercins the defence of the New Zealanders. The latter crossed their opponents' line live times.
