THE WHANGAREI BAND.
(By Telegraph. —Own Correspondent.) WHANG ABET, Wednesday. The -dispute which recently arose between the members of the 15th (North Auckland) .Regimental Band and Lieu•cenanrtOolonel t-teadman on bandsmen declining- to return their instruments had ite sequel in the Court to-day, when Lieutenant-Colonel Sttadmau sued two of the band officers, A. Fulljames and F. Eccles, for £150 or the return of the banJ. instruments ?n the military au-n-orities. It may be remembered that the bandsmen contemplated -the purchase of new instruments, and pledging in part payment a set of instruments wihieh it was claimed had been leased to the military ant-horities. An order was given for the men to deliver up their uniforms and instruments, -bat the bandsmen declined, on the grounds that tie instruments belonged to the citizens of WliangareL Afer iea-ring evidence the magistrate decided to reserve judgment.
