A mob of 1.000 Indians yesterday marched on Ladysmith and demanded the release of a number of their compatriots arrested earlier in the day. The magistrate agreed, but while the released prisoner.-, were being conducted through the town they broke the cordon of police. A general riot ensue.d. and the excited mob assailed the police with stones and sticks.
