HORSEMEN OF THE ARMIES.
A CONTEST IN NEW YORK. NEW YORK, November 18. Officers from Britain, Russia, the United States, Canada. Belgium, Norway, and France participated in the National Horse Show contest for army horses. Major Howard Brown, of the New York National Guard, won the Plaza Cup, Americans also taking second and third places. The international jumping competition resulted in Captain Rodden, of Montreal, being placed first; Lieutenant Baron Demelson, of the First Cuirassiers, France, second; and Captain Steward Richardson, of the Hth Hussars, third.
