AN OVERDUE BARQUE.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, this day. The barque Wanganui. which left Grafton on August 23 for Grey, i 3 considerably overdue, having been out four weeks whereas the passage usually takes a week to ten days. On the 14th inst. the vessel appeared in the offing, but owing to heavy sea it was impossible for her to make port. She put to sea, and has not since been sighted. The Harbour Board's tug has put to sea for a two days' search, and is expected to return to port to-night. Up to noon no news had been received.
