Members generally expressed- the opinion that the Auckland officers were doing their best with- the. men at their disposal, but feeling was very strong that they were badly treated" by headqua-taa. in not being allowed a larger staff with which to cope with the extra wortthrown on tliem by the traffic regulation. a resolution was passed deploring the shortage of men in Auckland City and suburbs, and expressing the opimen that more constables should be gent to Auckland, in order that the men generally might get- their due allowance of time'off. It was decided to forward the 'resolution to Wellington. . .'. .
