At the inquest of Fanny Marryatt, who died yesterday undteian anaesthetic, a verdict was returned that death was due to cessation of respiration while under the influence of chloro-Orm, every precaution having been taken by the medical men in attendance. | SUPREME COURT SENTENCES. j NAPIER, this day. j The following sentences were passed by I the Supreme Court to-day:—Patrick '. McNamara, arson and making a false declaration, three years' imprisonment; I William CLeary, principal offender in ! the Matawai assault case, four years; j Angus Lamont, three and a-half years; Frank Duggan, three years; Samuel Crago Toms, common asault, twelve months' p,robation; Charles Edmund Ratj cliffy, theft, eighteen months' reformative treatment; Arthur Moore, blackmail, twelve months' reformative treatment.
