(Before Mr. E. Page, S-JI.) DRUNKENNESS. James AlcUee (47) was fined £-2, or seven days' hard labour; while Annie Dunn, who had broken -er prohibition order by getting drunk yesterday for the fourth time within the last month, was fined 40/, in default 14 days' impriisonment. Frederick Watson (38), for being disorderly while drunk in Wellesley ■Street, had to pay 20/ or go to gaol for seven days. "Give one hour, just one hour, your Worship, and I'll shake the dust of Auckland off my feet," pleaded Hugh Riley, who had been found drunk in -W-Uesley Street yesterday for the fourth time recently, despite the fact that he was prohibited. Senior -sergeant Rutledge mentioned that Riley had beea making himself a nuisance with his drunken habits, and the magistrate fined the man 40/, in default a month's imprisonment. A curt "G-ood morning" as he left the dock was the prisoners acknowledgment of the sentence. Two first offenders were convicted and | discharged", one had to pay 6/ for his I ride in »:.ie hurry-up wagon, and another forfeited bail. • MISCELLANEOUS Margaret Gearin (41), charged that on Tuesday she stole an alarum clock belonging to Wi„g Shing, -was remanded till Wednesday.
