ALBANIA'S TROUBLES.
CHRISTIANS RAIDED. A REVOLT ESTABLISHED. ESSAD PASHA AT ITS HEAD. (Received 11.20 a.m.) SALONIKA, September 19. Albanian brigands are making extensive raids on the Christian villages. The Provisional Government, instead of protecting the Christians, has appointed notorious ex-brigands as chiefs ; of public security and gendarmerie. The Catholic Malissori (hillmen) at Durazzo threaten to depose the Govern-) ment and proclaim ?. democratic govern- i ment. j A rebellion against the Albanian Gov-! ernment has, according to advices from! Valona, been organiser! by Essad Pasha, who has seized the State treasure. A rival government has been established at Durazzo. where the chief officials have joined Essad Pasha. The Mirdites and Malissori have refused to act.
