A FATAL OPERATION.
DEATH UNDER CHLpROFDKM. (By Telegrapb.—Press Association.) ' DUNEDLN", Friday. A death under chloroform occurred thin morning, when a young lady, Miss Mar-ratt,-of Milton, died at a private hospital. The anxsthetic was administered to permit ot the removal of a growth oh the jaw. Drs. Roberts and Pieircrill were the medical men in attendance. The operation had been commenced when the patient ceased breathing, and though everything possible was done to restore consciousness the efforts were unavailing.
