CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER.
m — ■ TAXI-DRIVER ACQUITTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. A now jury was empanelled this morning and the charge of manslaughter, preferred against Phillip James Kelly, heard again. Yesterday, after a protracted sitting, the jury disagreed, and was discharged. Kelly was charged with having, on July 24, caused the death of Ida Una Heath Bradley, by negligently driving a taxicab. After a retirement of three and thrcoquarter hours, the jury returned a ver-, diet of not guilty.
