TROUBLESOME PRISONERS.
ESCAPE AND CAPTURE. (By Toleprapta.—Press Association.) ROTOIIUA. this day. Yesterday afternoon a prisoner, John Ramanager, undergoing a frve years' sentence for assault with intent, escaped from Waipa Prison Oamp. He was caught in Hemo Gorge last evening by ConstaMe Clarke, and w.is brought tbeforc the justices at Rotoxua this morning anrl sentenced to one year's additional iraprisoiMQent. Two prisoners at Kaingaeroa Caqny, Charies Kingston (sentenced ai Napieiin March last to two years for criminal ; assaailt), and Herfoort Wallace (ecuteticed a* Wellington in Janrj&ry ilast to three yeaTs for robbery with. violemceK broke tire windows of their -huts, about 12 o'clock last night, and attempted to escape. They were heard and caught outside their huts.
