THE HALF-HOLIDAY.
A deputation of. city shopkeepers, as represented by half-a-dozen members of the Shopkeepers' Defence- Association, headed by Mr. J. H. Hannan, waited upon Mr. A. E. Glover this afternoon, and urged that he lecd his assistance in obtaining the passage of the bill now before the House in the direction of revising the half-holiday legislation. They) stated that they ..were losing money heavily, and that the number of exemptions made the present law an unfAr one. Mr. CHover promised to do his ibest for the shopkeepers.
