LOXDOX, August 25 Four military aeroplanes co-operated on Saturday during the manoeuvres m connection with the Southern Army Division at Aldershot. Despite a fresh wind, the aviators threw down little bags containing the reports of the disposition of troops with streamers attached to show where the bags fell. Orders were sent to the aviators aloft In cypher by black lcttejs 6ft long on sheets of white canvas pegged to the ground. i The position of a concealed battery and the effect of shrapnej fire were fully detailed with sufficient success to justify each brigade of artillery being accompanied by aeroplanes in the future.
