STKANOE RUSSIAN " EPIDEMIC VITRIOL ACIDS AND BURNING (Received 2,30 p.m.) ST. PETERSBURG, August (I. A cotirt-itiartiitl -was licld to-dny over two sailors at Cronstadt. One of them dropped vitriol into his own cars, while the other Injured his eyes with corroaive acid. There have been several canes in St. Petersburg recently of workmen burning their eyes with lighted cigarettes for the purpose of obtaining insurance on the pretext that sparks caused the injuries.
