HERO OF THE MINE.
HOBART, August 4. Robert Cox, one of the heroes of the ISorth Mount Lyell disaster, and a recipient of the Humane Society's silver medal for his bravery on that* occasion, has just died. The deceased supervised the dispatch of several cages full of men to the surface befoTe he himself, the last man, entered. He collapsed before he reached the surface. His condition has never been tbe same since the accident.
