ACTIVITIES OF THE UNION.

A suggestion has been forwarded to the neutral executive of the New Zealand Tanners' Union in Auckland by the Hamarama branch of the union in. favour of circularising branches concerning a proposal that auctioneers should be requested to reduce their commission charges, which, it is stated, are considered excessive.

At a special meeting of the Rarrtarama branch the experimental plot scheme was fully discussed, and seven members signified their willingness to take up plots in accordance with the suggestions of the -Agricultural Department.
