CRUSHED BY YUAN'S ARMY. FLIGET OF THE LEADERS. PEKING, August 4. The Northern generals have initiated a sweeping movement to drive the southern rebels into Canton. A detachment of Indian troops has been sent to Canton to guard the foreigners there. French sailors are patrolling the French concession. A large force it Chinese troops is also protecting the loreign settlements. The revolutionary- rising is now practically a fiasco. The leaders, with prices on their heads, have disappeared, and are believed to have gone to Kwantung, at which place Sun-yat-scn asserts the movement will be reorganised.
