The country iv the low level Is of a splendid description. Flauraki R«efs.—A fair amonnt. of crushing dirt Is coming to hand from the (Jolconda reef at No. 1 level. A little picked stone has been selected. Two stopes are in progress below the old No. 2 level east workings. A few pounds of picked stone were selected from the general dirt during the past week. In the drive going west stoping on the level is in hand. At present good payable dirt Is being won from which a little picked stone Is occasionally secured.

Occidental. —In the stopes both No. 2 reef and the country continue favourable. The ore broken from the top etope shows good dabs of gold, and a little picked stone was got from it. Only a little of the reef in tbc south stope was broken down. The ore looks very favourable, carrying nice minerals. 12ft has b-een addcS to the rise in the south end. As the rise is going np vertirally the underlie of the reef has carried the main portion oat of tie rise, bat there is still same small leaders, some of which show dabs of gold.
