New Zealand attended an aquatic sports carnival arranged in honour of the ws-Tship's visit. A feature of the sports was the Indian war canoe races. Captain Halsey opened a new civic park in North Vancouver, and visited the canyon, and other beauty spots in the neighbourhood. He wras entertained at a banquet in the evening by the Terminal City Club. Thousands are visiting the warship daily. The Press everywhere in Canada is publishing articles upon tbe wonderful patriotism shown by New Zealanders. It accords to them the full credit of being the first Dominion to come to the Empire's help in the matter of Imperial defence. Ottawa newspapers declare that there is nothing to dim New Zealand's shining example in this respect, an allusion to the rejection of the Dreadnought policy by the Canadian Senate. CANADA'S POSITION.
