TWO DEAD IN COUNTRY BUNGALOW.

NEWSr.-PER BOY GIVES FIRST HINT OF ANYTHING WRONG. NOT DISCOVERED FOR DAYS. A shocking discovery was made at a bungalow at Southbournc, on the borders of Ilants and Sussex, near Emsworth, on Thursday morning. June 10th. Mr and Mrs Davics, who were about fifty years of age, had for some little time resided in a bnngalow at a place knowu as The Haven at Southbournc. They lived a very quiet life, and though it is stated that they had not been seen for the past two or three weeks, this circumstance caused neither surprise nor comment, and no alarm was felt. A newspaper boy has been in the habit of delivering papers daily, and latterly, finding no one about, bas pushed them through the letter-box. Becoming suspicious that something was amiss, he, on Thursday morning, communicated his suspicions to a neighbour. The latter, looking through a window on the ground floor, was horrified to notice "what appeared to be a dead body lying on the bed. The police were communicated with, and forced an entrance, -when they found that the body on the bed was that of Mrs Dairies. In an adjoining room was found the body of the husband, and it was evident that both had been dead several days, the remains being in an advanced state of decomposition. The police at once took possession of the house, and called in Dr. Bell, who proceeded to make an examination of the remains and prepare a report for the coroner for West Sussex, in whose district tire house stands. The police, in the course of their investigations, discovered a revolver, some of the barrels of which had been discharged. A letter -was also f onnd in the deceased man's handwriting. The deceased man and woman bad lived in the neighbourhood for about four years, ; but had made but few acquaintances, and had no relatives residing in the locality, which accounts for the absence of inquiries regarding their disappearance
