ADELAIDE, July 28. The death is announced of George Thomas (77), a veteTan of the 57th Foot, who fought, in the Crimean, Indian Mutiny, and Maori wars. Thomas formed one of the forlorn hope numbering 400 who captured the Redan. One hundred and thirty of the gallant bai>d wore killed and 170 wounded, while the others were captured-
