SENSATIONAL SHOOTING.
MAN FIRES AT WIFE. INJURIES NOI SERIOtEL (By Telegraph.—Press Association^ WELLINGTON, Monday. A sensational shooting case occurred in Upper Willis Street this evening. Mrs. Samuel Minifie was walking along the street when her husband, from whom she was separated, came along aod asked her to accompany him into a nearby shop. The woman refnsed, and appealed for protection to a man who was passing.
Minifie thereupon pulled out a. revolver and fired at his wife. He then tunnd round and made his escape.
It was found that the bullet had only penetrated the fleshy part of Mrs. Minifies left arm, and the wound is unlikely to be eerioui She was removed to the hospital.
Minifie was arrested about nine o'doei to-night, in an hotel.
