Samuel -Minitie was charged in. the Magistrate's Court with attempting to ■ mirrd-er his 'wife by shooting her with a revolver in Willis Street last night. Accused was remanded till the 6th August. Two other charges of false pretences vrere also brought against Minifie.
Mrs Minilie. whose arm was broken by the shot, is progressing satisfactorily in hospital.
