OIL WELL FIRES.
FOURTEEN LIVES LOST. A SMOKER'S CARELESSNESS. ("Sydney Sun" Special Sen-ice.) NEW YORK, July 27. By an explosion at an oil well at Beloeil, Quebec, seven were killed. A carelessly thrown cigarette set fire to an oil well at Tulso, Oklahoma. Seven men were blown to fragments, and irumense damage to property was caused.
