DEFENCE AND DEFAULTERS.
(By Telesraph.—Own Corresuonaent.) WAIHI, this day. The following persons were charged in the Police Court to-day under the Defence Act with failing to attend the annual camp at Te Aroha: —G. Colebrooke (Whakatane), P. J- Marks (Onehunga). R. Hales (Newmarket), and A. E. Rowney (Waihi). Colebrooke and Marks were fined 20/. with costs, each, and Hales 10,'. with costs. Bowney was discharged. Thomas Barraclough. for a breach of his prohibition order, was fined 40.
