BIG MAORI CONFERENCE.
KORERO AT TAUMARUNUI
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TAUMARUNUf, Monday. A big Maori korero is being held at Taumarumti this week in connection with the formal opening of Manuaute's new wharepuiri. The Hon. Dr. Pomare arrived yesterday, and was accorded a welcome by the assembled tribes from Wanganni. Waikato, and Fordell. as well as by the King Country natives. An important conference is proceeding on the land question and the Europeanising of Maoris.
