Beef.—The market is firm. New Zealand hJuds and fores, old. Supplies of American chilled beef are large, bnt good demand contiQjes on account of low prices previously accepted. Hindquarters. ->Jd; fores, 34d.

Butter.—The market is -steady, with good demand for choicest, but limited demand for low srade. No cternse in prices except for New Zenland choicest, which is quoted at 115/. Cheese. —Tup market is firmer, with good deni.tnd. New Zealand stocks are practically cleared. New Zealand, white 63/6, coloured 61/8: Canadian, new make white and coloured. 61/ to U2'. Hemp.—There has bfen considerable fluctuation in the market this week. New Zealand advanced and closed firmer. New Zealand rood fair. £29 10/ to £110 (nominal); fair, £28 10/: forward shipment, abont 10/ more. Fnr Manila the market is steady, with improved demand. Fair i-urrent Manila, £30; forward shipment. £2!) 10/. The output from Manila for the week was 15.000 bales. Wool.—The marke: remains firm.
