John Benjamin Bush, aged 45, died in h-ospital yesterday, from a fractured sknll, the result of a fall. At the inquest evidence was given that he was subject to epileptic fits. The steamer Petone, which broke her shaft ofT Timaro, is being towed to I/yttelton by the Breeze, and will be docked there. TAIHAPE, this day. A fire which occurred at midnight on Saturday destroyed a 'three-roomed cottage at Taihape, owned by A. Nathan, the tenant .T. Stewart. There is an insurance on the Imilding of £30 in the Sun office, and on the furniture of £00 in the Commercial I'nion. GISBORNE, this day. Harold Douglas Lockhart, who had ransacked a house and stolen 15/ from a drawer, pleaded guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court at Auckland for sentence.
