UNRULY CHILDREN.
DISCIPLINE IK THE HOMES. ! LONDON, June 9. The Departmental Committees on Eeformatory Schools recommended that conviction be not essential for the reception of boys and girls in the Homes. They i suggested the abolition of punishment eel's and deprecate the deprivation of meals. Less rough work and drudgery is recommended, and the committee urges that more teaching of trades should be given, and suggests some corporal punishment for girls, because tbe loss of marks and sending the girls to bed prove inadequate penalties.
