LONDON, May 23. Eighteen men were each fined £3 at iWjhitehaven yesterday on kflurges of baring taken part in cock-fighting. The evidence showed that two cocks ■fought in a quarry. The Tight lasted for four rounds of five minutes each. Sharp epnrs wore added to their legs. The-dead rot-ks were psodiued in Court.
The police aleo found in the quarry two weighing machines and ;i pair of shears. The grass was Mood-starne:!.
