DEATH FROM APOPLEXY.
Mr. T. Gresham held an inquiry at the Coroner"s Court this morning into the facts i-onnc-cted with ihe death of Mrs. Janet Steel. fergeant Bow-man represented the police.
James .Steel, la-rmer, of Te Kuiti, identified the body as that of his mother, .Janet Steel, aged 77 years. His mother w.is a liiilftw. and resided at Asquith Avenue, Mount Albert, always enjoyed very good health.
Dr. P. A. Ard«<rh. senior house snrgeon at the Hospital, stated that deceased was unr-onstious when admitted
Dr. G. B. Rossiter stated h< \vajs called to -deceased about 5 p.m. at her residence, Mount Albert, tflx* was lying on the kitchen floor, unconscious. He sent her to the Hospita.l. lie had since made a post-mortem examination. The body ■was "very TreJl nourished, and there -.verp no marks of violence. Toe cause of death was due to cerebral apoplexy. The juTy returned a verdict in ao'cord-i-a-nce -with the medical testimony, tjiat |<gsa£ii was due to natural cauaea.
