DARWIN STRIKE.
WILL NOT LAST LONG. (Received 10.10 a-m.) DARWIN, this day. Government officials discharged the s.s. Van Linschoten's cargo, those assisting including Judge Bevan, of the Northern Territory Court, the Railway Engineer, the Director of Agriculture, and the Chief Surveyor. Other gangs of natives and the ship's Javanese crew assisted.
It is considered unlikely that the strike will last much longer, although the union has wired for assistance.
