Other attractions notwithstanding, the Butterflies attracted a large attendance at His Majesty's Theatre last night, and much enthusiasm prevailed. The programme will be repeated to-night.

OPERA HOUSE.

A holiday audience assembled at the Opera House last night, when the current programme was repeated with every success. The same bill will be repeated this evening.

PICTURE ENTERTAINMENTS.

The Lyric Theatre was crowded last evening, whnn the new programme was repeated, and was enthusiastically received. A hearty welcome to the Royal Albert Hall is extended to the crew of H.M.s. New Zealand. The theatre was well attended last evening. All sessions nt the Globe were liberally patronised, the programme being a very popular one. At the King's Theatre, which was comfortably tilled last evening, this week's selection of pictures was received with enthusiasm. "The Mystery of Elk Bank." a powerful and sensational drama, Is greeted with loud applause at the Queen's Theatre at all sessions. A thrilling drama, "The Nihilist," is proving a great attraction at (he King George Theatre, which was liherallv patronised yesterday. The Newton Picture Palace still maintains its hold on thi' public fancy, a lar'e attendance being present last evening *

Rliikers had an enjoyable time at the Royal Ilnlli-r lilnk last night. A plalu and fancy dress carnival will be held on Tuesday. May 20.
