HOSPITAL BOARD POLL.
EDEN" NOMINATIONS CLOSE. Tie poll for the election of two members to represent Eden County upon the 'Hoepital Board, does not take place to-day in conjunction with the polls' in , the other electorates, but will be held on Wednesdaynext, May 7th. The nominations for the Eden seats were closed with the others on Wednesday -last,- but subsequently it was found that the law required the poll to be taken on the same day as the various Road Board, polls,'which take place next Wednesday, and accordingly the time for the receiving of nominations was extended to noon to-day: The Returning Officer (Mr T. Ussher) has received the following nominations:— Messrs tM. J. Coyle, C.H..FnrnesSj-S. J. ■Harbutt, and W. J. It ie intereetinjg; to note .that two of the original nominees, Key. Howard Elliott and Mr J. Jenfcin, withdrew their nominations, neither being electors- in the district which they sought to represent. . One new candidate, Mr W. J. Parker, has come forward since their withdrawal.
