•A prolonged tangi at a Maori pa, about midway between Ohakune and Ractihi, is reported to .be taxing the hospitality of a good-natured Maori severely. A native died there two months ago, and the customary tangi followed. Sympathising natives flocked in from all quarters and in great num--bers .till the place assumed the proportions of a great camp.
