•A.VONDAiE JOCKEY CLUB. [AUTUMN , MEETING- OPENS TOMORROW. Granted fine weather, the Avonflale Jockey Club should be able to provide a flue afternoon's sport to-morrow, when the Autumn Meeting opens. The acceptances are exceptionally good, and the racing should be of the best. The course, which has recently been greatly Improved at a very considerable cost, is looking a picture, and Monday's timely showers have assisted iv the general appearance of things. Special trains, as advertised, will run frequently from the city, picking up passengers at intermediate stations. The first event is timed to start at 12.10 p.m. Added interest to the racing will be lent by the appearance of a number of visiting horses. Yesterday Aoma and Naumai arrived from Wellington, Topic and Kaihere from Tauranga, Mapuna, Master Hilda and Rajah from Whangarci, HohungatiUri, Mighty Atom, Hlnerewa and Monocle from Waikato, and Tinopai and To Whareroa from Haupiri.
