LADIES' ASSOOATION. The annual meeting of the Auckland Ladies' Hockey Association, held in the V.M.C.A. Rooms last night; was presided over by Mr. H. A. E. Milnes. The Teport and balance-sheet, showing a gratifying financial position, Avere adopted. The following office-bearers were elected:— Presidents, Mr. C. J. Parr (re-elected); A-ice-presidents, Mrs. E. W. Payton, Messrs. H. A. E. Milnes and H. Rees George (all re-elected); honorary secretary. Miss K. Maberley (re-elected); hon. treasurer, Mr L. H. Norton (re-elected); executive committee. Misses N. Furze (Training College), E. Norton (Ao-tea-roa); A. Goldie (Technical ' College), Piper (Mount Eden), Gow (St. James's), Ghent (Waihora), and Mrs. T. Moor (Tui): Jion. auditor, Mr. R. H. Parton (re-elected). . Tlie -first meeting of the new executive was fixed for Monday next, at 7.30 p.m., when matters in connection with the opening carnival will be arranged. AUCKLAND CLUB. The eleventh annual meeting of the Auckland Hockey Club was held at the Amateur Sports Club. Mr. W. S. AVhitley, president of the club, occupied the chair, and there was a good attendance of members. The report arid balancesheet showed a satisfactory state of affairs. The senior team acted as ninnerup to the winners of the premiership, after being ou level terms with them, at the conclusion of the round. The junior team did not fare so Avell, but with the addition of some new members the outlook seems more promising this year. The finances of the club are in a healthy condition, a balance of £4 4/2, and assets to the value of £15, being in hand. The club regrets the loss of three valuable members, Messrs E. C. Whitley, E. R. Mason, and H. D. Hill. The former has decided to retire from active service, and the two latter are in the country. The club unanimously decided to place on record its appreciation of their services. The following officers were elected for the season; President, Mr W. S. Whitley Ore-elected) ; vice-pujesidents, Hon. A. M. Myers, Rev.. A. Fowler, Messrs J. H. Colwill, S. Somerfield, F. Wiseman, J. C. Gleeson, T. Williams, El Morley'; J. P. Waugh; hon. secretary, Mr W. Waugh; hon. treasurer, Mr P. F. Lepine; committee, Messrs W. Fuller, V. C. Cavanagh, Lamb, Adams, W. Allen; selection committee, Messrs V. C. Cavanagh, W. Allen, Lamb, and captains, ex-officio.
