OHAKUNE.

A most successful dance, held under the auspices of the Railway Tenuis Club, took place on Friday evening, visitors .being present from Kaltlhl and Rangataua. Mr. 3. JJeedham acted as secretary- and M.C. He was ably assisted by other members of the railway staff and their lady friends. A new up-to-date hotel, to contain 40 rooms, Is to be erected immediately. The building will stand on an exceedingly commanding position, overlooking the town and railway station, and affording a llhlb view of Mount Ruapehu. Tenders are now being Invited for the erection of the building.
