The Public, Works Department intend erecting two,-suspension bridges, one over the Mangawhero River at Anderson's Road, and one at BurreU's Boad. The agreement of adjusting finances as between the Waimarino Comity aud Raetlhl Town District was. .signed at a special meeting of the Council on Saturday. At a Council meeting of the Waimarino Acclimatisation Society, the secretary wa» instructed to obtain information re quail, with a view to lberatln<; some lv Kaitieke district. Application is to be made to the Minister of Hiternnl Affairs to have the forthcoming shooting season limited to.June and July, the game to be taken being pigeon, prey duel!, teal and quail.
