<From Onr. Own Correspondent.) BARQTONGA. March 25. ' Norman Ngamaru Glover was before Ooramiseioner Northcroft this", afternoon on- a charge of contravening the Customs Act; and also thie local .liquor licensing regulations. Glover, who is a resident of Mangaia, was a through ..passenger per BA. ■ Taltme, and , on landing here thie forenoon was asked by the Collector of Customs' if he had- any dutiable goods, to which Glover, replied in the negative. The. Collector haU Glover searched, and two bottles" of .'whisky we.re found on him. The. accueed Admitted the offences, and was fined £25 for breach of the
Customs' Act by smuggling, and a further fine of £10 wae imposed for.breach, of the liquor law in bringing liquor aehore which was not consigned to the Collector of Customs. .
