funeral OF THE VICTIMS. (Bit Telegranh —Own Correspondent.) PAEROA, Monday. The funeral of the victims of the Talisman accident took place at Paeroa this afternoon. The cortege was one of the longest ever witnessed in the district, there being about a thousand persons following the two hearses when the cortege passed through Maekaytown: The burial service over the body of Hyde •was conducted by the Rev. J. P. Cowie, TSliile the Rev. Mr. Lowery conducted tie service over Mcßride's grave. The Karangahake Druids' Lodge (of which W. Hyde was a brother), also conducted a short service over their deceased brother. The inquest over the accident was commenced on Saturday, and adjourned ■until Tuesday. The inquiry will last at least a couple of days.
